OUR PRODUCTS
The thin stone veneers that Quarry Rock creates or carries are from quarries around the world. Each is chosen because of its beauty and character. The stones vary in thickness of 3/4" to 1-1/2". The weight of the products varies from 10 to 15 lbs per sq. ft. As with all natural stones each has its own natural color and characteristics Quarry Rock packages its stone products in 100 sq ft. skids and 5 sq. ft. handi-pak flats; 100 linear ft. corners skids and 5 linear ft. handi-pak corners. All square footage is based on a 1/2" mortar joint being used.

EASY INSTALLATION
Thin stone veneers may be applied over most any clean, dry, structurally sound wall surface. Attach wire lath 2.5 gauge directly to the wall. This is what holds the stone. Overlap each sheet of lath by 4-6". Apply a scratch coat over the lath. Apply mortar to the back of each stone and put on scratch coat. When all stones are layed up apply joint grout in between stones. Be careful when applying cement to stones - do not to get cement on the face of the stones. When applying the stone on the wall make sure to blend colors from all boxes and to mix up shapes and size as you work along. It is a good idea to spread out the stones on the floor before starting the project. Start at the corners and work into the centre of the wall. Being sure to alternate the corner stone returns. Cutting the stones is best done by using a power saw with a masonry saw blade. Always be sure to use safety glasses and a dust mask.
